Solution

Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction in which single parent is involved. In this process, there is no formation or fusion of the gametes. The offspring which is produced by this type of asexual reproduction is genetically same and identical to the parent cell. They are exact copies of the parent cell and thus, the offspring is called as a clone.
