Why does our stomach burns when we suffer from indigestion

Open in App
Solution

Indigestion is something which results from overeating or eating too fast. Spicy, greasy, and fatty foods also increase the risk of indigestion. Our body secretes many king of acids in our stomach including Hydrocholric Acid for breaking down the food. But when our body cant digest the foods like spicy foods the body produces these acids in large quantitites than normal. This inturn reaches our intenstine, and other parts of our digestive system. This causes reaction with walls of our internal organs which causes a burning sensation. This is what we feel as stomach burns.
