$S O_{3}$ acts as an electrophile because three highly electronegative oxygen atoms are attached to Sulphur atom in $S O_{3}$ which makes Sulphur atom electron deficient. It can be shown by resonance. Sulphur gets •ve charge and acts as an electrophile
