Why does the sky appear dark instead of blue to astronauts ?

To observe the color of the sky, the scattering of light is important which is only possible due to the presence of the atmosphere, and in space, there is no existence of atmosphere, therefore, the scattering of light doesn't occur. So , to an astronaut sky appears dark instead of blue.
