Question

Why vsepr theory deals with only single covalent bonds and not as well with double and triple bonds??

Open in App
Solution

Multiple bonds contain a higher electronic-charge density than do single bonds, so multiple bonds also represent larger electron domains.
Hence becomes hard to be represented in vsepr theory.

Hope this helps :)
