Open in App
Solution

When none of the factors of a gene is dominant, the phenotype of a heterozygous dominant individual is a blend of dominant and recessive traits. This is called as incomplete dominance. For example, flower colour in Mirabilis jalapa (Snapdragon). The red flower is the dominant character and the white flower is recessive character. There is blending of the two alleles. The flowers in the F1 generation will be pink in colour due to mixing of the alleles.
