Solution

Saliva:
The saliva is produced in the mouth by the salivary glands. There are three pairs of salivary glands called parotid, submaxillary and sublingual glands which secrete the saliva directly into the mouth. Saliva contains digestive juice called ptyalin. Ptyalin contains the salivary amylase enzyme which carries out the digestion of around 30% of carbohydrates in the mouth by converting starch into glucose.
