The Tibetan plateau, gets heated up during summer and thereby establishes an atmospheric circulation that is conducive for the monsoon.Intensive heating of the plateau results in strong vertical air currents and the formation of low pressure​ which sucks the moisture from the oceans resulting in Monsoons.
