Two fractions can be added by taking LCM of denominator and then it can be added or subtracted.
For example :
Lets take $\frac{2}{3}and\frac{2}{5}$
So, $\frac{2}{3}+\frac{2}{5}=\frac{16}{15}$
$\frac{2}{3}-\frac{2}{5}=\frac{4}{15}$
