Faraday discovered that whenever there is a relative motion between a circuit and a magnet, the amount of field crossing through the area of the cross-section of a circuit will change and this will cause a current to flow through the circuit. This phenomenon is known as electromagnetic induction and the current is called induced current. What are the different ways to induce current in a coil?  Answer: Current can be induced either by moving the coil in a magnetic field or by changing the magnetic field around it (or when a magnet is moved into the coil) , In this way  induced current can be produced in a coil due to relative motion between a magnet and the coil Explanation When the direction of motion of the coil is at the right angles to the magnetic field, the induced current is found to be the highest.
