Question

Write main effects of the depletion of ozone layers.

Open in App
Solution

The depletion of the ozone layer will allow the penetration of the harmful ultraviolet radiations into the Earth's atmosphere. These radiations are responsible for causing skin problems, cancer and eye problems. The radiations break the oxides in the gases of atmosphere and result in the release of oxygen radicals which causes bleaching and oxidation of the living tissues. These rays affect the human, plants and other life forms.
