Solution

The correct option is C Sufis
Sufism was a new faith that emerged from Islamic roots. This belief rejected ritualistic worship and its strict codes of conduct. It encouraged a personal devotion towards God. The Sufi saints were mystics who composed devotional poems and wrote against the orthodox rituals. Sufism came to the Indian subcontinent around the 11th century. It found itself in a country consisting of diverse religious beliefs. The Sufi saints mingled freely with all the classes across many religions, interacted and learnt from yogis and sitthars. They adapted to local beliefs and customs and led to the creation of India's composite culture.
