You are taking some friends for movie and want to treat them with Pizza. The cost of the movie ticket is 120 and the pizza costs 30. Let n represent the number of friends, then

(a) Write an expression for the total amount you will spend.

(b) if n=5, what will be your total expenditure?

Step 1: To find the expression for the total amount.

Given that cost of one movie ticket = 120

So for n friends, total cost = 120n

Since we are not given the number of pizza's ordered, so we assume that number of pizza's ordered = 1

Money spent on pizza = 30

Thus, the expression for total money spent = 120n+30

Step 2: To find total expenditure when n=5.

Now we simply put the value of n in the expression obtained above, we get

120(5)+30=630

Thus, the total expenditure = 630.
