A and B started a business in partnership investing Rs 20000 and Rs15000 respectively. After six months, C joined them with Rs 20000. What will be B's share in the total profit of Rs 25000 earned at the end of 2 years from the starting of the business? (A) Rs 7500 (B) Rs 9000 (C) Rs 9500 (D) Rs 10000

A and B invested for 24 months and C invested for 18 months

A’s share = 20000 x 24

= 480000

B’s share = 15000 x 24

= 360000

C’s share = 20000 x 18

= 360000

Ratio of A,B,C’s share = 480000: 360000: 360000

= 48:36:36

We get,

= 4:3:3

Total ratio = 4 + 3 + 3

= 10

B’s share = (3/10) x 25000

We get,

B’s share = 7500

Therefore, the B’s share is Rs 7500
