Solution

A bag of cement lying in the open gets wet due to rain during the night. The next day the sun shines brightly. The change that happens to cement on the next day is an irreversible change. i.e., which can not be reversed. The cement gets hardened which changes its composition of cement.

Reason: The addition of water to cement is called hydration and when it is hardened in sunlight, the composition of cement changes which results in a chemical change.

Chemical Changes: Changes that usually results in changes in chemical properties like bonding is called a chemical change. It generally involves the formation of a new product.

Chemical changes are usually irreversible in nature.

Thus the change involved here is a chemical change which can not be reversed to get the original product. i.e., irreversible.
