Solution

Finding the percentage of runs scored by running:

Total runs scored by batsman is =110

Runs scored by batsman through boundaries is =3×4=12.

Runs scored by batsman through sixes is =8×6=48.

Total Runs scored by batsman through boundaries and sixes is =12+48=60

Therefore, runs scored by batsman through running is =110-60=50

Therefore, percentage of runs scored by running =TotalrunsscoredbyrunningbetweenthewicketsTotalrunsscoredbybatsman×100

=50110×100=50011=45511%

Hence, percentage of runs scored by running is 45511%.
