Solution

Magnetic nature of force.

  1. The magnetic nature of force is observed by the boy.
  2. A magnet has two poles name the north(N) pole and the south(S) pole.
  3. Magnet with like pole ends N-N&S-S repel each other and unlike pole ends N-S attract each other.
  4. The magnetic field is the space around a magnet around which magnetic effects can be experienced, it is a vector quantity and its SI unit is Tesla (T)) or Wb/m2.
  5. Magnetic Force can be defined as the attractive or repulsive force that is exerted between the poles of a magnet.
  6. Magnets are attracted or repelled from a certain distance, from which we can clearly infer that the forces do not need to make contact for their action. This depends upon the nature of force.

Hence, the force acting on two magnets must interact with each other in some way (either attract or repel) regardless of whether objects are in contact or not.
