A car runs 16km using 1 litre of petrol. How much distance will it cover using 2¾litre's of petrol.

Find the total distance:

Given,The total amount of distance travelled by car in 1litre of petrol =16km

Then,Total quantity of petrol =234litres=114litres

The total amount of distance travelled by car in 114litresofpetrol=114×16

=11×4

=44km
Hence, the total distance travelled by car in 2¾litresofpetrol=44km.
