Let the cost price of 1kg of pulses be 1000.

Cost price of 950grams of pulses=950

Since he is using false weight of 950grams in place of one kilogram.

Therefore, he is gaining the cost price of 50grams i.e. 50

Therefore,

Gain%=GainCostPrice×100=501000×100=5%

Hence, shopkeepers gain percent is 5%.
