Solution

It is not right to burn dry leaves as it causes air pollution.

  • The burning of leaves gives off major pollutants in the form of particulates, hydrocarbons, and carbon dioxide.
  • The smoke may also contain hazardous chemical gas such as carbon monoxide, which can bind with hemoglobin in the bloodstream and reduce the amount of oxygen in the blood and lungs.
  • The smoke released by leaves during burning can also irritate our eyes, nose, and throat.
  • This leads to coughing, wheezing, and other respiratory conditions that can sometimes persist.

Hence, The right way to dispose off the dry leaves is to convert them into compost.
