A mixture of powdered salt and sugar can be separated by the process of winnowing (True or False)

False

Explanation

The mixture of sugar and salt solution can be separated by evaporation (the process of turning from a liquid into vapour) and if the water is completely evaporated we will get separated sugar from the mixture whereas if we dissolve the solution in alcohol, we get salt while sugar will be dissolved in alcohol.Sugar can dissolve in alcohol, but salt can’t dissolve in alcohol, so we can add the mixture in alcohol and filter it and get sugar alcohol solution to separate and salt is left over at the end.
