E.g.- The degree of a polynomial 3x+5 is 1 thus it is a linear polynomial. The degree of a polynomial is the highest of the degrees of the polynomial’s monomials with non-zero coefficients.

Hence, A polynomial of degree one is known as a linear polynomial
