Solution

Given

Length of a piece of land= 0.7km

The breadth of a piece of land =0.5km

Find out

We have to determine the length of the wire needed to fence the piece of land given

Solution

The length of the fence required is given by the perimeter of the rectangle

We know that

The perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

The perimeter of the plot = 2(Length + Breadth)

=20.7+0.5=21.2=2×1.2=2.4km

Each side is to be fenced with 4 rows =4×2.4

=9.6km

Therefore, the total length of the required wire is 9.6km.
