A Swimming Pool Is 20M In Length, 15M In Breadth And 4M In-Depth. Find The Cost Of Painting Its Four Walls At The Rate Of Rs. 20 Per Square Metre.

Given:

Length = 20m

Breadth = 15m

Height = 4m

The Area of floor = Length × Breadth

\(\Rightarrow 20 * 15 \) \(\Rightarrow 300 m^{2} \)

The Area of walls = 2 (Lh + Bh) \(cm^{2} \) \(\Rightarrow 2 (20 × 4 + 15 × 4) \) \(\Rightarrow 2 (80 + 60) \) \(\Rightarrow 2 (140) \) \(\Rightarrow 280 m^{2} \)

Sum of areas of floor and four walls = Area of floor + Area of walls

\(\Rightarrow 300 + 280 \) \(\Rightarrow 580 m^{2} \)

Given, Cost for repairing 1 \(m^{2} area = Rs 20 \)

Therefore, the cost for repairing 580 \(m^{2} \) \(\Rightarrow 580 * 20 \) \(\Rightarrow Rs 11600 \)
