A tank of cylindrical shape has a radius of 2.8m and its height of 3.5m. Complete the activity to find how many litres of water the tank will contain.

Finding the capacity of the tank:

Given ,

Radius of tank (r) =2.8m

Height of tank(h) =3.5m

The amount of water that water tank will contain = volume of the cylinder

=πr2h=227x2.8x2.8x3.5=86.24m3=86.24x1000[1m3=1000litres]=86240litres

Hence, the amount of water that water tank will contain =86240litres.
