Question

A trolley, while going down an inclined plane, has an acceleration of 2cms-2. What will be its velocity 3s after the start?

Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Given

Acceleration a=2cms-2=0.02ms-2

Time, t=3s

Initial velocity, u=0ms-1

Final velocity, v

Step 2: Formula used

v=u+at

Step 3: Calculation of velocity

Using the first equation of motion

v=u+atv=0+0.02ms-2×3sv=0.06ms-1

Hence, the velocity of the trolley after 3s is 0.06ms-1.
