The sunlight is a white light that when passed through the prism, splits into seven colors namely violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red.
We usually call it as VIBGYOR.
VIBGYOR means violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red.
Each color has a different wavelength.
Red has the longest wavelength, and violet has the shortest wavelength.
When all the waves are seen together, they make white light.
White light is actually made of all of the colors of the rainbow because it contains all wavelengths, and it is described as polychromatic light.
When we mix all these colors we just get one light which is the WHITE light.
Hence, white light is a mixture of seven colors that are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
