a)

  1. The part which produces the female gamete is the ovary.
  2. The part where the development of the baby takes place is in the uterus.
  3. The part through which the developing embryo passes to reach the uterus in the fallopian tube.

b) Development of embryo post-implantation:

  1. The developing embryo gets embedded in the wall of the uterus for further development.
  2. The development of the embryo occurs in the uterus.
  3. It gradually develops body parts such as hands, legs, head, eyes, ears, etc.
  4. The foetus is the stage of the embryo in which all the body parts can be identified.
  5. A human embryo becomes a foetus after about 8 weeks of pregnancy.
  6. After completion of development of the foetus (i.e. after about 38 weeks or 9 months), a mother gives birth to the baby.
