Anthropogenic actions refer to the activities that are caused by human beings. Anthropogenic action also referred to as human activities has commenced to the evolution of a number of new species in a short time scale. This hastens the method of evolution.

Example

Air pollution

The causes of air pollution can either be anthropogenic. Burning of fossil fuels:
Combustion of fossil fuels pumps out a lot of greenhouse gases. Vehicles are one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions. Moreover, most industries also rely on fossil fuels to power their machinery.

Use of chemicals

Over use of herbicides & pesticides, in crop production, has resulted in selection of resistant varieties of pests.
