Are pulses Rabi crops or Kharif crops?

Crops:

  1. A crop is said to be a plant grown for sustenance and harvested.
  2. Rabi crops are crops that are sown in winter i.e. October to December and harvested in summers from the month of April to June.
  3. For e.g: wheat, barley, peas, gram, and mustard.
  4. Kharif crops are grown with the onset of monsoon in several different parts of the country and harvested in September-October.
  5. For e.g: Paddy, jawar, and maize, pulses etc.

Pulses can be considered as both rabi and kharif crops.
