Arrange the following in descending order:

15,37,710

Step 1: Find LCM of denominators of all the given fractions:

LCM 5,7,10=70

Step 2: Multiply numerator and denominator of each fraction by a suitable number so that denominator in each case becomes equal to LCM obtained in Step 1:

15=1×145×14=1470

37=3×107×10=3070

710=7×710×7=4970

Step 3: Step 2 would convert all fractions to like fractions and therefore the fraction with greater numerator is greater:

49>30>14

710>37>15

Therefore, the descending order of fractions is: 710,37,15
