  1. Potassium Bicarbonate + Sulphuric Acid = Potassium Sulphate + Carbon Dioxide + Water
  2. KHCO3+H2SO4K2SO4+CO2+H2O

Step 1: Balancing Potassium Bicarbonate

  1. Two moles of potassium Bicarbonate are added to the LHS.
  2. 2KHCO3+H2SO4K2SO4+CO2+2H2O

Step 2: Balancing Carbon dioxide

  1. Therefore to balance the following reaction we used two moles of potassium Bicarbonate and already added 2 moles of carbon dioxide and water on RHS equating to 10 moles of 0 and 4 moles of H on both the balanced sides.
  2. 2KHCO3(aq)+H2SO4(aq)K2SO4(aq)+2CO2(g)+2H2O(l)
