Open in App
Solution

Combustion is a chemical process in which a substance reacts with oxygen and gives out energy in the form of either heat or light or both. Oxygen is necessary for combustion to take place.

During rusting, iron reacts slowly with oxygen and water to form rust. A little amount of heat is produced during rusting. Therefore, rusting can be said to be an example of slow combustion.
