Solution

The correct option is B

RBC

Carbonic anhydrase is an enzyme found in red blood cells, gastric mucosa, pancreatic cells, and renal tubules that catalyze the interconversion of carbon dioxide(CO2)and carbonic acid (H2CO3). Carbonic anhydrase plays an important role in respiration by influencing CO2 transport in the blood.

The carbonic anhydrase enzymes work to catalyze the conversion of carbon dioxide and water to the dissociated ions of carbonic acid. This produces bicarbonate anions which get dissolved in the blood plasma. The catalyzed reaction is reversed in the lungs, resulting in the formation of CO2, which is then exhaled.

The explanation for the incorrect option:

Option A:

  • WBC's full form is White blood cells. They defend against the pathogens in the human body.
  • ABC creates antibodies that recognize and counter foreign agents like fungi, viruses, and bacteria that infect the human body.

Option C:

  • Plasma in blood mainly comprises80to90percent of water and the other 10 percent is composed of salts, lipids, nutrients, enzymes, and hormones.
  • Plasma in blood cells is rich in proteins, immunoglobulin, clotting factors, and fibrinogen.

Therefore option B is the correct option.
