  1. Amphibians are animals that fall under the category of amphibia.
  2. They are capable of both terrestrial and aquatic life (aquatic).
  3. As a result, they can breathe through their skin, lungs, or gills.
  4. Two auricles and one ventricle make up the amphibian heart.
  5. The number of chambers in a vertebrate heart determines how it is classified.
  6. For example, sawfish and Trygon have two-chambered hearts with one ventricle and one atrium.
  7. For instance, reptiles and amphibians have three-chambered hearts with one ventricle and two atria.
  8. Crocodiles are the one exception, though.
  9. They have a four-chambered heart.
  10. For example, mammals and birds have four-chambered hearts with two ventricles and two atria.
