Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a less polluting fuel than petrol and diesel. CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is considered to be a better fuel than petrol, as it is less harmful to the environment and less costly than petrol. It burns smokeless and also doesn’t produce deadly and harmful gases as petrol produces.
- It exhausts a lesser amount of nitrogen dioxide, carbon dioxide, and sulphur dioxide while burning as compared to other fuels.
- Earlier, LPG was considered as the clean fuel, but nowadays CNG is regarded as the clean fuel and has replaced diesel and petrol automobiles.
