  • Aniline(C6H5NH2) reacts with trichloromethane or Chloroform(CHCl3) and alcoholic Potassium hydroxide(KOH) to give Phenyl isocyanide(C6H5NC), Potassium chloride(KCl), and water(H2O).
  • It is called the isocyanide test.
