Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Convert the decimal to decimal fraction -

For converting any decimal to decimal fraction, we remove the decimal and we write 10x in the denominator, where x represents the number of digits after decimal -

0.8=8101=810

Step 2: Reduce the fraction to the lowest term -

HCF of 8&10 -

8=2×2×210=2×5

HCF =2

Divide both the numerator and denominator by HCF -

810=8÷210÷2=45

Hence, 0.8 in fractional form is 45.
