  1. The photoelectric effect is a phenomenon of the ejection of electrons from the surface of a metal when the light of a suitable frequency is allowed to fall on it.
  2. The electrons released are known as photoelectrons.
  3. The Threshold frequency is the minimum frequency of the incident light below which no photoelectric emission takes place, whatever the intensity may be.
