Income Method: In this method, there should be a certain minimum income. A person is said to be poor or below the poverty line, if his/her income level is not enough to fulfil their basic needs.
Consumption Method: In this method, the minimum nutritional food requirement is measured and expressed in calories. Thus, a person is said to be below the poverty line, if he/she is not fulfilled with the specific calorie level.
