Describe government strategy of poverty alleviation.
Poverty Alleviation is the set of steps taken in an economic and humanitarian way for eradicating poverty from a country. Removal of poverty has been one of the primary objectives of Indian developmental strategy.
Causes
The current anti-poverty strategy of the government is based broadly on two boards, being, promotion of economic growth and targeted anti-poverty programmes. Awareness is being expanded beyond the nation defining the value of education, which has emerged in the increase of literacy level.

Projects undertaken by the government
Various projects like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005, Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana (PMGY) and Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) have been introduced by the government with an aim to abolish poverty from the country.
