Difference between benzophenone and acetophenone

Acetophenone and Benzophenone can be distinguished by using iodoform test. However, Benzonphenone does not contain any free methyl group so it will give a negative test. Benzophenone and acetophenone both are aromatic ketones. Benzophenone is used as an ultraviolet curing agent, flavour ingredient, fragrance enhancer and perfume fixative, and as an additive for plastics, coatings and adhesive formulations.
