- Volcanoes Volcanoes can be easily predicted. When tectonic plates collide with each other, magma rises and volcanoes are formed. Volcanoes cannot take place in every part of the Earth and can only take place where the opening in the Earth’s crust is seen. Volcanoes are seen on the Earth’s surface.
