Differentiate Between the Center of Gravity and Centroid

The difference between the center of gravity and centroid are as follows:

(a) The center of gravity is the point where the total weight of the body is focused. Whereas the centroid is the geometrical center of a body.

(b) The center of gravity is denoted by the letter “g” while the centroid is denoted by the letter “c”.

(c) The center of gravity is the term that is applied to the bodies with mass and weight. Whereas the centroid is applied to the plain areas.
