Terrestrial radiation is the description of terrestrial sources of radiation surrounding us.

Difference between insolation and terrestrial radiation

Insolation Terrestrial radiation
It is the solar energy received by the Earth. It is the radiation given back to the atmosphere and space.
It travels in short waves. It travels in long waves.
Only 52% of insolation is received by the Earth, and the remaining energy is absorbed by the clouds or water vapor. Out of 52% of insolation received by the Earth, some are transferred to the atmosphere and space.
The Source of radiation is Sun.Terrestrial radiation refers to sources of radiation that are in the soil, water, and vegetation.
