Structure of DNA:

  1. DNA comprises two deoxyribose, bases, and a third component called phosphoric acid.
  2. DNA is a kind of macromolecule, that is, a nucleic acid.
  3. It is of the shape of a double helix, which is twisted and comprises lengthy strands of alternating sugars and phosphate groups along with nitrogenous bases, that is, thymine, adenine, cytosine, and guanine.
  4. It is organized within the compositions known as chromosomes and is situated within the nucleus of the cells.
