Solution

Blood circulation:

  1. The heart is an essential organ, which spontaneously pumps nutrient-rich blood and oxygen all through the body to sustain life.
  2. Blood carries fresh oxygen from the lungs and nutrients to the tissues of the body, apart from this, it also takes the waste products like carbon dioxide from the tissues of the body.
  3. The pulmonary veins and pulmonary arteries refer to the vessels of the pulmonary circulation, that is, they are accountable for carrying the oxygen-rich blood to the heart from the lungs and carrying the deoxygenated blood to the lungs from the heart.
  4. The pulmonary veins bring oxygen-enriched blood to the left atrium of the heart.
  5. The aorta is the pulmonary artery, which transports the oxygen-rich blood to the different parts of the body from the left ventricle of the heart.
