Human excretory system:

  1. The human excretory system comprises organs, which help in the eradication of nitrogenous wastes from the body.
  2. The prime excretory organs are the kidneys, urinary bladder, ureter, and urethra.
  3. The blood is filtered by the kidneys and the urine is the filtrate obtained.
  4. The urine moves to the urinary bladder through the ureter and is excreted out of the body.
  5. The prime work of the kidneys is to remove the extra fluid and wastes from the body.
  6. They also regulate the osmotic pressure by maintaining a healthy balance of salts, water, and minerals in the blood, known as osmoregulation.
  7. The prime work of ureters is to carry urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder.
  8. The hollow muscular organ in the pelvis is the urinary bladder, it does two prime activities, that is, storage and emptying of the urine.
  9. The urethra refers to a tube, which carries urine from the urinary bladder to the external of the body.
