The excretory system of earthworms contains a pair of nephridia, which is present in between the third and the last segment.
The three types of nephridia are
- Integumentary– Found attached to the inner side of the body wall in all segments except the first two
- Septal– Found attached to both sides of the septa behind the 15th segment
- Pharyngeal– Found attached to the fourth, fifth and sixth segments.
