India is located in the Northern Hemisphere. Latitudes and Longitudes will help in determining the exact location of a country. The coordinates of mainland India are longitudinally it extends between 68°7’E and 97°25’E, latitudinally mainland India extends between 8°4’N and 37°6’N.

The total area of India is 2.4% of the total geographical area of the world. The total length of India’s coastline is 7,516.6 Km. This includes Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep Islands. India’s land boundary extends up to 15,200 Km.

The neighbouring countries of India are Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh.
